A Live Product Demo Checklist for Ghanaian Shops
Prepare a live product demonstration by choosing one product question, checking the item and offer, rehearsing the explanation and testing the actual streaming setup. Assign someone to monitor questions and plan what you will do if the connection fails. Going live does not guarantee viewers, orders or sales.
For a Ghanaian shop, the useful starting point is a product people need to understand. A live demonstration can show details and support questions in real time, but it should not replace accurate product information or a working enquiry process. Plan the session around what the viewer needs to see.
Choose a narrow demonstration promise
Write the question the session will answer. A footwear shop might explain how two sandal styles differ in fastening and construction. That is more manageable than attempting to introduce every item in the shop during one session.
For a hypothetical Kumasi footwear seller, the demonstration could compare the actual straps and fastening on two available designs. Keep the products within reach and confirm their references before the rehearsal. Do not substitute a similar-looking item without explaining the difference.
Choose the person who can explain the product accurately. They do not need to recite a polished sales script, but they should know what is included, which details still need checking and when to refer a question to someone else.
Check the offer before preparing the camera
Confirm the current product, available variants and the route for enquiries. Where prices will be mentioned, prepare the correct amount in Ghana cedis and any relevant qualification. Do not invent a discount or delivery promise to make the session feel more urgent.
Decide how the team will respond if a viewer asks about an unavailable size or an individual delivery request. A public demonstration is not evidence that every variant can be supplied immediately. Keep the next step consistent with the shop's actual process.
Our enquiry-handling guide offers a general question checklist. Adapt it to your Ghanaian shop's real prices and fulfilment arrangements. Its Nigerian examples do not establish local payment or delivery support.

Confirm platform access before announcing the session
Check that the chosen account can use the intended live-streaming method. A working account or existing uploaded video does not, by itself, confirm live access. Requirements can differ by platform, device and account.
For example, YouTube's current live-streaming guidance specifies channel verification, restrictions and age requirements, with additional requirements for some methods. Read the current page and check the account you will actually use. Do not assume the same conditions apply to another platform.
Choose the viewing destination and confirm what you can announce accurately. If you share a time with a cross-border audience, label the time zone clearly. Check the finished announcement and viewing route rather than relying on a planning note.
Rehearse a simple sequence
| Part | Purpose | Preparation |
|---|---|---|
| Introduction | Identify the products and question. | Correct product references. |
| Close demonstration | Show the fastening and relevant detail. | Camera angle that keeps hands and product visible. |
| Questions | Clarify general product points. | A colleague to note unanswered requests. |
| Next step | Explain how enquiries are checked. | A monitored, current contact route. |
This is a planning example, not a requirement to follow a fixed duration. Keep the session proportionate to the explanation. Do not stretch a simple demonstration with repeated sales claims simply because you booked a longer slot.
Practise moving the product into the useful camera position. A fastening may look clear to the person holding it while remaining hidden from the lens. Check the recording or preview from the viewer's perspective.
Test the setup you will use
YouTube's live-streaming tips recommend a test stream. More generally, rehearse with the intended device, sound setup and connection, following the chosen platform's controls. A successful test in another room does not verify the shop setup.
Listen to the voice, check the lighting on the product and inspect what appears behind the presenter. Keep private paperwork, customer details and unrelated screens out of the shot. Make sure the device support is stable before anyone starts handling products nearby.
Arrange a realistic backup action. If streaming fails, the team might stop, issue an accurate update through its usual channel and share a checked recording later. Do not promise an uninterrupted broadcast when the setup has not been proven.
Agree a pause signal during rehearsal
Choose a simple signal the colleague can use if the product is out of frame, the sound becomes unclear or the presenter gives a detail that needs checking. Rehearse stopping and correcting the explanation calmly. Place the demonstrated pair in a separate spot from the next product so a hurried swap does not mix their references. A pause to confirm a fact is more useful than continuing with an uncertain answer. Include that correction when reviewing any recording for later sharing.
Give questions and follow-up an owner
If possible, let a colleague watch the questions while the presenter demonstrates. Agree which general points can be answered immediately and which individual requests should move to the shop's monitored enquiry channel.
Keep a note of unresolved questions without copying private details into public replies. Confirm availability and arrangements before accepting a request as an order. Do not imply that commenting during the broadcast automatically reserves a product.
Afterwards, review the recording before making it available elsewhere. Check whether spoken prices, availability or an interrupted explanation need clarification. Our approval guide offers a general framework for reviewing the exact file you intend to share.
Keep promotion separate from demonstration quality
If exploring OgaViral services, confirm the exact listing, billing currency and payment method, and read the conditions. This guide does not establish Ghana cedi billing or Ghanaian audience delivery. Purchased engagement differs from organic interest and confirmed orders, and platform restrictions remain relevant.
Start with one product question and a tested rehearsal. Use genuine viewer questions and the team's review to decide what needs a clearer explanation next time, rather than judging the session only by a headline count.
